Digital Smartworks was hired by Myriad Systems, Inc. (MSI) to assist with a new website redesign and help increase the functionality and usability of their current website. Their initial website looked like this:
The design of the website was a bit outdated and lacked focus. Information was not arranged intuitively and the color and layout of the design made it difficult to focus on the important bits of information on the site.
Digital Smartworks implemented a new template for the look and feel of the site and arranged the images and text in a more user-friendly manner.
The website is now powered by a .Net-based Content Management System (DotNetNuke) that allows the client to gain more control over the content of their own site. The staff at MSI can now change their own text, images, links, and pages on their own, as well as add additional functionality like a blog or video module with just a few clicks.
"After our site went live, my boss asked me if we could have our videos up on the site. Within the same day, we were able to send him an email and let him view the videos live on the site. What normally would have taken days or weeks to send to a website developer to complete, we accomplished in a day and at no extra cost out of pocket. We now have 3 people on staff who can make changes to the website and we are able to make them weekly or even daily when we need to add or change information."
